| Child has a small scar below her belly button. She is approximately 2 years old. The child was given to a female Hispanic in her 40s by the birth mother, who was very young and could not care for the child. She also did not want her parents to know that she was pregnant. In May of 1998, the woman was looking for a good home for the child in McAllen, Texas, as she was leaving the country and could not take the child. She then left the child with a registered nurse at a migrant clinic and signed a letter giving the child up for adoption. The whereabouts of the birth mother and/or the woman she initially left the child with are unknown. |
