San Dimas Doe

These posters have the same image and both say San Dimas and mention 1979.  However, one is NY and the other is CA.

NCMEC Poster NY
This poster lists him as John San Dimas Doe 1979. (I don't think there is a San Dimas in NY and this child was found in 2005 so the 1979 is incorrect)
White or hispanic male with brown hair.
Age states 4-8 years old but information on the poster indicates he is estimated to be 1-4 years old.
Height is somewhere between 3'6" -4'0".
Weight is 27 lbs or somewhere between 25-35 lbs.
He was found 2/5/2005 at Rockaway Beach in New York, NY
The case numbers listed on his poster are:
NCMEC: 1110800
NIC: U970018160
Namus: 4397
The Namus case number is for the San Dimas Unidentified Child in California.
NamUs UP #4397 The information doesn't match this child's case.
The Namus case that appears to match up with the date this child was found is NamUs UP #2688 The information indicates he was 3 feet tall and was between 3-5 years old. Race is listed as unknown. His head wasn't found. He had healed and unhealed fractures. He had possibly been deceased for months before he was found.
The Namus information indicates DNA has been submitted, but tests have not been completed. I wonder if anyone compared the DNA to Hope (#?) and Faith (NamUs UP #9704) Doe that were found in Nassau and Suffolk County.
I'm organizing notes and links about this child's case. The information will be at this link John Valentine Hope

NCMEC Poster CA
The poster lists him as San Dimas California Unidentified.
White or hispanic male.
Age is 4-6 years old.
Height is 3'8".
Weight is  35-40 lbs.
He was found 10/2/1979 in San Dimas, CA.
The case numbers listed on his poster are:
NCMEC: U10167
NIC: None
Namus: None
I did find a Namus case link for this child. It is NamUs UP #4397 (It says "There are currently no images available for this case.") That case number is the one given on the poster of the NY one. The age is listed as 4-8. Hair color is listed as dark brown-black. Not all body parts were recovered.

Note: The Namus case report doesn't indicate the two cases are connected.
